<image:caption>Keeping with original color palettes and logo, Klear needed a branding update. Not quite a logo, but not just your average color blocking; the new branding was designed with variety and future use in mind. Aimed to be used for everything from presentations, to large format graphics the "K-slant" and subsequent call to arms "Keep it Tangible with Print" graphic supported the existing logo. This new branding could stand on its own as a logo-esque design element.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Custom vector drawing recreated for use in a large format printing project for Kia of Renton. Instead of forking over $699 for an almost large enough photo. <image:caption>710 Direct - Freedom of choice was the name of the game. Not knowing exactly what was wanted, quite a few different logos were provided to the client to choose from. Eventually, my very first napkin sketch (highlighted above) and subsequent finalized logo was the final choice. Once set on the logo, the same was true for the color palette. Exploring various colors the client settled on the above.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Assorted Logos - Various logos and their respective variations for client use. Oak Street Soap & Candles was a type-based logo reflecting the quirky, fun products that were produced. Wyatt's Park was created quickly for a new, upscale housing development. Sign Pro was a temporary logo, after the business was acquired by Klear Marketing. Art Local was created for promotional use by the Ford Gallery, and PDX Magazine. Three color variations were included.</image:caption>

<image:caption>One-F Promotions - The client was specific on a simple, clean logo. Like other logos, this one included slight variations for various uses. In this case the icon, was designed with patterns in mind. As a music/event promotion venture, a logo pattern would make for a nifty back drop on stage. The icon also works well for promotional items like stickers, buttons, and other various uses.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Green Oregon - The client requested the use of a previously designed element; the tree in white. Any logo had to incorporate the tree. This solution was also designed with several versions for use on signage, window graphics and stationary. The tear drop could be used as a standalone icon for social media, or a design element.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Green Mart - New logo created for a cannabis dispensary. The logo was intently designed to broken up as needed. Several versions were created for various uses. The icon was specifically designed for use as a social media icon, and well as a useable design element in branding. The icon was also used as a router cut dimensional stand-off in the store location. Leafly.com rated Green Mart as #1 Cannabis Dispensary in Oregon 2017.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Magnetic "Community" wall, and "Values" wall - These office walls were featured near a majority of the staff. The magnetic wall featured custom typography, and four large "framed" areas that were treated with magnetic receptive materials. The idea was that office employees could post photos of family, company events, and news to the framed areas which would allow the wall to interactive and personal. The "Values" wall featured the same faux brick background as it was on a connected corner. A simple, bold treatment to company values greeted visitors.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Map Wall - Another "interactive" stand alone wall piece that featured photography related to each state represented, and an accurate map. <image:caption>Civil War Wall - Large breakroom wall featuring Ducks and Beavers in action. Action shots, and the mascot photos were found via a local photographer. Also supplemented by stock graphics which tied into adjacent walls including the hockey wall on the left side. Graphics made use of the power outlet as a breakup point, also utilized a custom router cut to the right side. <image:title>Design & Graphics - lexus at the nines </image:title>
<image:caption>An up coming event showcasing the new Lexus RX at The Nines in downtown needed custom, large format work. A marketing firm on the east coast was organizing the event and was not located in town. Not only designed with the end client in mind, but the location of the event itself. A clean, classy look was developed which complemented both. Not only that, but all graphics and materials had to be removable with no changes to exsisting structures. </image:caption>

<image:title>Design & Graphics</image:title>
<image:caption>Shown here is the final mock-up. After graphics were approved, the measurements were taken to accurately represent the mock-up's look. Kind of reverse-engineering this element. Photos were provided by Lexus, and were bumped up in resolution for max quality on four very large fabric banners.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Glass Enclosures - How do you make something classy, reflective of the brand, and not a visual block to a glass enclosure? With a custom pattern of course! After some brand research I noticed a common element: the grill of contemporary Lexus vehicles. Adopted easily into a seamless pattern that was eventually used as design element on other pieces. The staff at The Nines later said they enjoyed the pattern and regretted tearing it down.</image:caption>

<image:title>Design & Graphics</image:title>
<image:caption>Although not my work, this wall graphic still needed to be prepped and set-up for print. <image:caption>Walking map - A custom map, and icon collection was created for a unique print piece guiding visitors around Portland hotspots. Loose branding used elsewhere in the project tied this piece in to the overall look of the event. <image:caption>The Turkey Bowl was a multimedia, cohesive campaign. The client wanted a fun, custom graphic for an experimental marketing campaign that would bring customers into their locations. Customers would "bowl" to earn savings or prizes. The turkey sketch provided by John Quirk, supplemental drawings and vector work done as needed by myself. The graphics created were transferable to all sorts of media to keep a consistent look and feel. The campaign included personalized direct mail, digital/web ads, eMail marketing, signage, and the dimensional Turkey Bowl kit; Custom router-cut Coroplast, with removable vinyl lane graphics.</image:caption>

<image:caption>The Sasquatch was sketched out Klear's press operator: John Quirk. Since people seemed to dig the Sasquatch in our inter office banter, so why not bring it to life? After refining John's drawing into vector line art I colored "Sas" in. For this piece I went with an all vector design for a crisp look. Sasquatches are probably pretty big, and this one was no exception; it was designed to fill up a 4'x 8' Sintra sheet, and stand up on its own.</image:caption>
